Appia Antica: Full Day Bike Rental with Customizable Routes

1.Appia Antica: Full Day Bike Rental with Customizable Routes

★★★★★★★★★★4.6 · 419 reviews · 1 day · from $22Our pick

Appia Antica bike rental for one full day: helmets and locks included, guided catacombs visits, quiet ancient road, flexible stops.

“The tourist information staff were very helpful and well maintained mountain bikes were provided with locks and helmets. We had limited time so didn't stop to visit the nearby catacombs but, having cycled 12Km to via di Fioranello, we took a detour on the return journey to visit 'Aqueduct Park'. Beautiful scenery, fabulous archaeology and highly recommend leaving the centre of Rome to enjoy the experience of cycling along one of history's oldest highways.”

Rent an e-bike or muscle bike near the Appian Way, ride quiet ancient roads to Aqueduct Park, then refuel at a cafe.

“E-bikes took a little getting used to but worked out great for getting along part of the Appian Way. Could have done with some better maps detailing more of the sites along the route but the overall experience was very good. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different during their time in Rome!”

“Sur 5 vélos, 3 ont déraillé au cours du trajet dont 1 plusieurs fois. La route n'est pas confortable, elle est parsemée de passages à gros pavés à éviter les jours de pluie pour ne pas glisser. Les paysages sont sympas et les ruines intéressantes. Bonne activité malgré les petits défauts”
